Lafarge Africa Holcim Holds Staff Family Retreat, Splash Gift Items

Lafarge Africa Holcim has reminded its staff of the importance of adhering to operational safety rules while at work.

The reminder was issued at the company’s annual celebration of its end of year party for family members of its workers.

At the party which was organized to bring families together to interact, the Mfamosing Lafarge plant Manager Mr. Peter Robson disclosed that “outside the need to improve on accommodation for staff in the Calabar area, the company is building a club house for staff to relax and catch fun in a stress free environment.”

On the expectation behind the family party, Mr. Robson said that “it is to bring father, mother and children together to enjoy themselves” reiterating that “the company expects workers to adhere strictly to the work safety ethics.”

Mrs. Baron Ita the Human Resource Business partner used the occasion to advise staff not to neglect safety rules while on the road especially during the yuletide season, maintaining that safety of lives and property cannot be compromised.

The retreat featured among other things, raffle draw, presentation of a complete set of key board to JSS3 student for her special song rendition, refrigerators, generators, electric irons, micro waves, plasma TV, Go TV decoder to the deserving staff.
