Linda Ayade Admonish Parents Not To Be Gender Biased, Present Gift Items To New Year Baby

Her Excellency, Dr. Linda Ayade, Wife of the Cross River State Governor has called on parents to accept children as perfect gifts from God; male or female.

The Governor’s wife made the remark after delivering her gift to the 2019 Baby of the Year, Alice Joseph Akpan, at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) on New Year’s day.

She also charged the new mother to treasure and take care of the baby girl as the gift of a girl to the family means peace and prosperity.

Dr. Ayade who was accompanied on the visit by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Ivara Esu, the Commissioners for Health, Women Affairs and Information, Dr. Inyang Asibong, Mrs. Stella Odey, Mrs. Rosemary Archibong, DG Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Betta Edu and other women, was received by the the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Hospital, Prof. Ogbu Mgim.
