By Patrick Obia

A strange fire has in the early hours of Thursday gutted a music recording studio along Ediba Road Calabar, with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

The fire  is said to have started at about 3am inside the recording studio burnt down equipments before it was noticed by its neighboring compound security (name wasn’t gotten) who raised alarm.

According to him when he noticed the fire, he wanted jumping through the fence but remembered there are five dogs inside, before he could knock at the gate for someone to open, the fire had raised down everything in the studio

His words, “I noticed the fire from our compound, I wanted jumping the fence but I said No and the dogs, so I said let me use the gate. If they had opened the gate on time, at least we would have saved the laptops and other things but before I could arrive, the laptops were all burnt.”

The victim, Mr. Opubo Braide said he is devastated about the damages the fire has caused him. He however thank God for no life was lost and the entire building was not raised down to earth.
