Ayade Mourns Paul Adah, Withdraws From Campaign For Two Days

By Efa Sunday; Government House Correspondent

Cross River State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade has expressed utter shock and sadness over the death of APC Chieftain, Chief Paul Adah.

As mark of respect to the late Politician, the Governor announced his withdrawal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign activities for two days.

The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, said Chief Adah’s demise was devastating and painful not only to him but to the people of Cross River State as a whole.

The statement quoted Ayade as describing the late Adah as a statesman whose life was defined by service to his State and country.

Ayade while praying for the repose of Adah’s soul, urged his immediate family to see his demise as an act of God and asked them to uphold the cherised values which Paul was known for while alive.

“Paul’s politics was anchored on the philosophy that it can be played without bitterness and this was exemplified by his popular Alias ‘Paul For All and All For Paul’ which the general public knew him for until his death.

“I’m devastated not only because we have lost a worthy Cross Riverian, a two term former member of House of Representatives, a former NDDC Commissioner, a fellow Obudu man and until recently a Governorship aspirant, but because I have lost a soulmate with whom I shared a common political philosophy; politics with ethics,” the statement quoted the Governor.
