The Paramount Ruler of the Efut Nation, His Royal Majesty Itam Hogan Itam, Men, Women and Youth of Calabar South have reiterated their total support for the re-election bid of Sen. Ben Ayade.
This decision was again reached when the PDP campaign team set out in a courtesy visit to the Muri Munene’s Palace and the Calabar South Secretariat Anantigha.
HRM Itam Hogan assured Governor Ben Ayade and the entire PDP candidates of their total support, while also appealing for more functional street lights to be installed across the entire region, stating that lights will help curtail criminal activities in the area.
“I want to thank His Excellency the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade for the industrialization on-going across the State, especially in the Southern Senatorial District.
“I also want to applaud the beautiful sight we see every night along the Goodluck Jonathan bye-pass. Governor Ayade has indeed transformed that area and with the light there, there has been reduced issue of criminality.” He said.
The Royal Father also thanked Mr. Ayade for the Car gift sent to all the Paramount Rulers in the State.
Meanwhile, responding on behalf of the people Bassey Ekefre, Marjorie Asuquo and Charles Ugbo thanked the Executive Governor for the numerous appointment given Calabar South indigenes reiterating that PDP will enjoy massive support and will stop at nothing to return Ayade in the general election.
In response, Governor Ben Ayade represented by Deputy Governor Ivara Esu, thanked the Paramount Rulers for their love, support and prayers towards the success of Governor Ayade’s administration even as he seeks to be re-elected.
Prof. Ivara Esu also appealed on behalf of his principal, saying that “he is mourning the recently bereaved House of Representatives Member for Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra Federal Constituency, Hon. Paul Adah which is why he’s not here.”
Prof. Itam Hogan was recently given certificate and staff of office by the Cross River State Government after years long battle over the stool with Muri Munene, Effiong Mbukpa which received a protest from the Efut Combine Assembly.
