Governor of Cross River State and candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in the 2nd of March, 2019 General Election, Senator Ben Ayade has promised a gender friendly appointment come May 2019 if re-elected into the Perogrino House.

Senator Ayade made this promise today at the U.J. Esuene Stadium during the two-year commemoration ceremony of the Cross River Women Emancipation Initiative (CROWEI), an event graced by the wives of the PDP Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, Mrs. Jennifer Douglas Atiku Abubakar and Mrs. Margaret Peter Obi.

Mr. Ayade urged Cross River women across the 18 Local Governments Areas of the State to be committed to the re-election of the party’s candidates both at the Federal as well as State level, promising that a fifty-fifty fair share of appointment will be accorded them.

The Governor said, “I don’t have much to say today, but I know that women are a strong force to reckon with in the success of any election. Women constitute fifty percent of the voting strength of a State or a country. That is why we are here today calling on you to make PDP’s success a priority in this elections.

“Come 16th of February and 2nd of March, 2019 go to the poll with your PVC and make sure you vote for Atiku Abubakar, Ben Ayade and other PDP candidates and come Friday this week, let all of you come out in your number to receive your Presidential candidate.” He ended.

Mrs. Jennifer Atiku called on all the women to render their services to the Nation by voting out hardship and want, stating that a vote for Atiku and Obi is a vote for good life.

“Cross River Women, we bring you greetings from our husbands, your preferred candidates in the forthcoming election. We want you to know that since this adminstration began, things have been difficult for Nigerians, especially the women and the youth who are more fragile. But I want to assure you that you have the power to cause a change in your lives. And come February, March, this year, you must enforce that change by voting PDP, and I assure you that with them in power you are sure of a greater Nigeria.” She said.

Founder of the Emancipation Group, Mrs. Linda Ayade also joined Mrs. Atiku and Margaret Obi to urge for unreserved support in the forthcoming election for all PDP candidates stating that Mr. Ayade has promised equal gender representation.

Meanwhile, come Friday 8th of February, the PDP Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi campaign train will birth in Cross River State.
