The Cross River State chapter of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has debunked rumors of endorsing the aspirant of the APC Central Senatorial District Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba for the forth coming general election.
In a press release signed by the Chairman, Sunday Michael and made available to our newsroom, it was stated that the CNPP only paid the Senator a visit and nothing more.
The release reads in part: “At no time did CNPP Cross River State chapter adopt Senator Victor Ndoma Egba (SAN) as consensus candidate for 2019 elections, but only paid him a visit as a Chairman of NDDC and a respected son of Cross River State, who has Senatorial ambitions.
“It is mischievous for a man of such societal standing to condescend so low. For a former Commissioner, a former Senate Leader, and now Chairman of NDDC to tell such blatant lie is quite disturbing.
“For avoidance of doubt, the CNPP is in advance stage of discussion to adopt her consensus candidate within one week.”
Mr. Michael concluded by calling on all Cross Riverians to pay deaf ears to the rumor.
