BREAKING NEWS: Boy kills Mother In Ugep, APC And PDP Supporters Clash, Ballot Box Destroyed

Information reaching Cross suggests that a resident of Ntamkpo community of Ugep in Yakurr local government area, 19 year old Master Patrick is currently being detained at the Palace of the Obol Lopon of Ugep, Obol Ofem Ubana after allegedly killed his mother.

“The boy killed his mother because she was trying to stop him from using cutlass in the ongoing election. The boy in anger used the cutlass in his hand to kill his mother. Even as he ran away, some youth’s caught him and take him to (the) Obol Lopon’s Palace,” another resident who gave his name as Mr. Kangaroo told CrossRiverWatch.

Our correspondents currently awaits the ruling of the monarch over the matter.

In a related development, there were clashes between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijom, Ijiman and Nikki Biko wards in Ugep. The cause of the clashes was still unknown as at press time.
