High Court Sacks Hogan Itam As Muri Munene, Paramount Ruler Of Calabar South

The Cross River State High Court has sacked Prof. Itam Hogan Itam as Muri Munene of the Efuts Nation and Paramount Ruler of Calabar South.

The judgment was passed on Friday 15th March, 2019 during a court session presided by Justice Edem Ita Kooffreh in Calabar and contained in a court order with suit no: HC/442/2018.

According to the order, the 4th defendant’s (Prof. Itam Hogan Itam) position as a Clan Head in Efut does not confer on him the right to act as the King of Calabar South and President of the Calabar South Traditional Rulers Council.
