By CrossRiverWatch Admin

The Cross River State Government said 1,700 people who wrote the interview examinations for jobs in the State’s primary health care sub-sector have been shortlisted for the oral interview.

The Director General of the State’s Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Betta Edu disclosed moments ago in a press briefing with journalists in Calabar.

The oral interview is slated to start by Tuesday, April 23, 2019 with the shortlisted applicants expected to bring along relevant documents for the exercise.

She said the directive followed the approval of the Governor, Senator Ben Ayade in line with an earlier directive to employ 1,000 health workers issued last year.

On January 1, 2019, the portal for applications opened and following the initial shortlisting, over 6,000 sat for the interview examinations where 1,700 crossed the threshold for the pass mark.
