JUST IN: Prof. Ikpeme Takes Over From Agan As UCTH CMD

Prof. Ikpeme A. Ikpeme has been appointed new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) Calabar, Cross River State.

According to the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole who broke the news via his twitter handle today said,  “It was my pleasure to present a letter of appointment to Professor Ikpeme A. Ikpeme, the CMD, UCTH after his appointment was approved by President.”

The country’s health boss further sued for collaboration saying, “I urged him to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that the hospital delivers on its mandates.”

This is coming a day after the Dental and Medical Consultants of the hospital began indefinite strike, two weeks after the Resident Doctors down tools.
