In line with the directive of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Ben Ayade asking all his appointees to give their hand over note on or before May 29 2019.
The Commissioner for Health Dr. Inyang Asibong has handed over to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health Dr. Joseph Bassey.
While presenting the note in her office in Calabar on Thursday, Dr. Asibong thanked God and the Governor for the opportunity to serve, and urged staff to give the Permanent Secretary the necessary support.
She said, “I want to thank God Almighty for giving me the privilege, and of cause my boss Senator Ben Ayade for seeing me worthy despite all cause to serve under the capacity of the Commissioner for Health, all these years. And also seeing me worthy to keep through out this first administration”.
Responding after she had handed over, Dr. Joseph Bassey described the Commissioner as a friend and thanked her for the peaceful working relationship he had experienced, working side by side with her.
The Permanent Secretary charged everyone to continue in oneness, telling them that the Commissioner will return to complete what she had started.
In light of her success between 2015 to 2019, a publication of the Ministry “The Plus of Paradise” was launched.
An an award of excellence was presented to her, as one of the top ten best appointees in Cross River State by Pan African Good Governance Council Led by Prof. Austin Angba.
