Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, continued his new role as project manager today by conducting a team of investors from China around various projects sites in the state capital, Calabar.
The Chinese who arrived the state on Tuesday, were received at the airport by the head of the Department of Public Transportation DOPT, Godwin Nyiam and the Chief of Staff to the governor, Martin Orim, while the governor was away in Oslo, Norway.
The Chinese investors are in Calabar at the instance of the state government to partner DOPT in easing traffic congestion in Calabar. Mr. Ayade intends to provide land for the Chinese investors to construct a central motor park along Odukpani road.
After visiting the proposed project site, the governor also stopped over at the Spaghetti flyover construction site and the feeds and chicken meal factory at Odukpani, the rice seeds and seedlings factory, as well as the noodles company at the Goodluck Jonathan bypass.
