A man whose identity is yet to be gotten is said to have died while sleeping on a bench Thursday at Asim Ita street, Ikot Ansa, Calabar, Cross River State Capital.
While fielding questions from some eyewitness, Elizabeth Okon Attah said, “He sat on the bench, then slept off and suddenly started breathing heavily, the next thing we saw was that the man had died.”
Abigail Attah also claimed that they don’t know him, but they know that he’s around their area.
While others who pleaded anonymity, affirmed that he died while sleeping.
He has nobody and he lives alone in his house some say.
As at the time of filing this report, his corpse was yet to be evacuated.
A call was placed to the Environment Ad-hoc Committee Task Force headed by Eric Anderson who wasn’t aware of the situation but said, “I’ll call my people now to follow it up.”
