The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Cross River State chapter has protested over increased kidnapping of its members.
The Doctors first shut down the Governor’s office, stops movement of cars in an out of the office; ask Governor Ayade to take aggressive steps in the safe and unconditional release of their colleague, Dr. Marcus.
According to the Doctors, the struggle will continue until their member is released unharmed. The protesting doctors who refused to listen to the Permanent Secretary on Security, demanded to be addressed by the Governor or his deputy.
From Peregrino House, they occupied the Cross River State House of Assembly, demanding action, safe and unconditional release of their colleague, Dr. Marcus, who has been in captivity for over 6 days now.
The peaceful protest is led by the Nigerian Medical Association State Chairman, Dr. Agam Ayuk, the Secretary, Dr. Ezoke Epoke and others.
