BREAKING: Truck Crush Four Year Old To Death In Calabar South

A truck suspected to be Dangote vehicle (with Dangote sticker at the door) has knocked down two brothers and crushed a four years old to death in Calabar South.

The incident which took place at Ekpo Abasi roundabout at about 1:45 PM, Friday with eyewitnesses said the driver of the truck who was on a high speed, knock down the two brothers who were in a tricycle (Keke nappe), with the duo falling off the tricycle and the truck smashing the four year old at the spot and the other sustaining injuries.

When called upon about the incident, the parents of child who said to live at No.36 Yellow Duke, Calabar South, arrived the scene of the accident, could not hold themselves as they both roll on the ground for their child.

However, in order to avoid breakdown of law and order, the men of Nigeria Police force intervened by taking the driver and truck to the police station as angry mobs had threatened to set the driver and truck ablaze.

At the time of filing this report, the condemned tricycle has been evacuated and injured brother rushed to hospital and tranquility restored.
