The ministerial nominee from Cross River State, Mr. Goddy Agba has asked followers and party faithful to wait for his thanksgiving service in Calabar instead of traveling to Abuja.
Mr. Agba made this known in a statement to CrossRiverWatch on Friday in Abuja.
The nominees will be sworn in on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, the federal government had said in an earlier statement.
The security situation of the roads and the lack of a planned after party in Abuja were cited as reasons.
The statement read: “There will be an inauguration thanksgiving/reception ceremony in Cross River State after my swearing in. The reception will be open to all members of the APC.
“It therefore not necessary for our members to proceed to Abuja given the security situation of our roads. More so, there is no ceremony planned for that day in Abuja.
“May I appeal that we all key into the upcoming event in Cross River State.
“I thank you for your your understanding.”
