Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has returned to the country after days of absence.

Mr. Ayade’s flight from Europe where he was spotted eating chocolate in Italy touched down less than an hour ago at about 4:45PM.

He spent over a week out of the State with no one aware of his trip.

He is expected to brief Government House Correspondents when he arrives Calabar.

This is the second time the Governor has jet out of the country since May 29, 2019 when he was sworn in for a second term in office.

The State had budgeted N1.4 billion for local and overseas travel in 2019 while the African Action Congress had berated him for not informing Cross Riverians when he travels.
