Inaugural Dread Tony Ekoh Memorial Lecture, Endowment Fund Raising To Hold In Ugep

Plans have been concluded to launch Tony Ekoh Foundation as part of activities to mark the 9th edition of Dread Tony Ekoh Anniversary/Inaugural Memorial Lecture.

According to Ras (Arc.) James Ikpi, Lion of Ethiopia, Umor-Otutu in a press release, this year’s event will consist of 3-day (26th – 28th October, 2019) activities at Ithiopia Umor-Otutu, Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area, Cross River State.

According to the release, Dr. Arnold Udoka, Senior Lecrurer, Theatre Arts Department and Barr. Maxwell Eba, Lecturer, Law Faculty, both of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) are the guest lecturers.

Other activities include musical performances, dance competition, jokes, novelty football match, chess and scrabble.

Also, there shall be a Sabbath session, art and crafts exhibition, tour of Leboku Village and Launching of an Endowment Fund.

Late Dread Tony Arikpo Ekoh (B.A. in Theatre Arts, University of Jos 1992; M.A. Theatre Arts University of Ibadan 2001) was born October 18, 1966 and departed Occtober 28, 2010.
