The Chairman, Association of Cross River Online Journalists (ACROJ), Comrade Darlington Edem, has bid fair well to his father, late Mr. Darlington Offiong Awatt, who passed on to eternal glory at seventy-two (72) years.
The ACROJ Chairman who took to his Facebook handle to pour out his heart, said, “Dear father, this week you will be laid to rest. As your work is done on earth and you have gone to meet with the master, you can be sure, you will have a good journey back home. Goodnight here, good morning in heaven” Edem sorbed.
Late Darlington Offiong Awatt, will be laid to rest on Saturday, 9th November, 2019, at Hawkins Cemetery, Eyo Etta Axis, Calabar.
Obsequies is as follows:
Thursday 7th November, 2019 will be opening of mourning house at his residence No.4 Mary Magdalene street, Calabar at 7.00am.
Friday, the 8th of November, 2019 will be all night musical at his residence at 8.00am.
Saturday 9th November,2019, lying in state at the deceased residence at 8.00am
Saturday 9th November,2019 will be the funeral/memorial service at City of Hope Church, African club field, Calabar at 10.00am
Interment at Hawkins, Eyo Etta Axis, Calabar.
Reception follows immediately at African club field Calabar.
