President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness of the death of Queen Gertrude Amokeye Jedy-Agba, mother of the Honourable Minister of State, Power, Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR.
Describing the deceased as a community leader and philanthropist in a condolence message, issued by Garba Shehu, Spokesman of the President, he said he was saddened to hear about the death.
Fondly known as Mama Nurse, Buhari said She was a phenomenal personality who did exceptional work as a caregiver.
“On behalf of my family and the nation, I console Minister Jedy-Agba, husband of the deceased and the Paramount Ruler of Obudu, Cross River State, HRH Uti Joseph Davies Agba, Uti Itedem III, of Ukpirinyi, Utugwang, and the Government and people of Cross River State over this irreparable loss,” Buhari said.
The death of the Queen who died aged, 82 years was announced in a statement by the Minister few days ago.
