COVID-19: There’s Gross Under-testing, More Symptoms Report – Cross River NMA Raises Alarm

The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Cross River State branch has faulted the State Government’s intention to re-open schools.

The State NMA in a press release dated June 13, 2020 with reference number NMACRS/SG/2020/06/245 also maintained that “there’s gross under testing.”

It further warned that “the increasing report of flu-like symptoms, respiratory symptoms and loss of smell/taste in various hospitals and the State metropolis is an indication of potential community transmission of an undetected disease fitting the epidemiologic pattern of COVID-19.”
