Mrs. Ignatius Agube has been released this morning by his abductors after payment of huge ransom. Multiple sources have reliably informed us that Mrs. Agube just arrived home safely this morning.
Our impeccable sources also relayed that N4,850,000 was paid to the kidnappers at Akpabuyo LGA creeks last week, while another undisclosed amount was also paid yesterday before her release this morning.
But the good news also is that security operatives also made some arrests last night and are on the trail of the other members of the gang.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that they have been security movements for several days now and for 2 days, arrest have been made including last night when key players in the kidnap were arrested in Calabar South.
Mrs. Agube is the wife of Hon. Justice Ignatius Agibe of the Appeal Court. She was kidnapped in her shop in Ekorinim Calabar recently while the hoodlums shot and killed her female Personal Assistant, Glory Akpama, who was with her at the time of the ugly incident.
