A foremost poet and dramatist, Professor Kalu Uka (emeritus) will today (Saturday) review the bestseller ’There Was A Country’ written by Chinua Achebe.
Uka, who authored ‘A Harvest of Ants’ among other dramas that often hit the reader with more poetry than imagined in a drama taught in different institutions before his retirement.
At 82, he is revered as the ‘Profess of Professors’ by those who appreciate the proper use of English and literary techniques especially, in writing.
The book review is organised by the Calabar Book Club and is slated for 4PM today at the Jade Hall of the Transcorp Hotel.
