The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the just conducted House of Assembly by-election in Obudu, Mrs. Maria Akwaji has been declared winer.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Abel Ezeoha maintained that “having satisfied, scored the highest votes cast, I hereby declare Maria Akwaji of the People’s Democratic Party elected for the Obudu State House of Assembly by-election”.
Mrs. Akwaji pulled a total of 32, 166 votes to defeat her closest rival, Godwin Agbor of the All Progressive Congress, APC, who scored 3, 546 votes.
From the result announced, the total valid votes are 36, 114, rejected votes 505 and the total votes casted is 36, 619.
