Twenty-two days after angry Bayside youths invoked Anansa (Marine Goddess) over the current state of Marina Resort, the place has been cleansed traditionally.
The cleansing of Marina Resort became necessary because of the sharp increase of unholy activities of criminal elements within and around the resort.
Chiefs of the Community, Friday afternoon carried out the traditional cleansing.
In another development, Isaac Evaghoghome who pleaded guilty to the charge of rape of a child (6 years at time of incident) has been convicted and sentenced to a term of 7 years and 6 months imprisonment by His Lordship, Hon. Justice E. E Ita.
Also, the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that a baby factory in Calabar South has been bursted by men of Operation Akpakwu. 24 pregnant women, 11 children and two suspects were taken into custody.
The suspect, Mrs. Fedelia Daniel, denied knowledge of the baby factory home, while on the other hand, one of the pregnant ladies, Stella John said, they normally receive N2,000 weekly from their “madam” to take care of themselves in the home.
