The Cross River State office of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSIFT) has marked the 2021 World Day for Safety and Health at Work. It had the theme “Anticipate, Prepare and Respond to Crisis: Invest Now in Resilient Occupational Safety & Health.”
The event which held April 28, 2021 was marked in Calabar, the State capital with road show and sensitization as activities. The Calabar Branch Manager, Mrs. Idara Ugot in an interview with our reporter sued for more safety precaution at work.
They walked and danced from their office at IBB Way (beside Living Faith Church) through Ndidem Usang Iso road to Effio-Ette junction as they sensitized those who came by them.
On his part, Mr. EKong Patrick who is the HOD of Health and Safety department said the importance of staying healthy cannot be over emphasized.
