Stakeholders from Cross River People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has said the decamping of the State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade to the All Progressives Congress, APC, was expected.
This was disclosed in a press briefing led by Sen. Liyel Imoke, which had members of the National Assembly and other key players in the party present.
According to Ayade’s predecessor, Sen. Liyel Imoke: “While being rather regrettable, it does not come to us as a surprise.
“We join the National Party to wish him well in his new political found adventure.”
They urged the party’s loyalists to remain steadfast as they are still incharge of the grassroots.
