Residents and passersby around old road by NEPA quarters at the 8 miles axis of Calabar are currently in panic over gunshots.

It is currently unknown whether it is a gun duel between security agencies and criminal elements.

But, CrossRiverWatch’s Managing Editor, Jeremiah Archibong says he heard “series of shots rent the air” while he, alongside others ran for their lives.

“The shooting was sporadic for short moment and one could easily tell that automatic weapons and probably locally made guns were been used,” he said.

More details later…
