Comrade Benedict Ukpepi, NLC Chairman in Cross River State

Comrade Ben Ukpepi, the Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress in Cross River State has been released after veeb5in captivity for 85 Days.

Mr. Ukpepi was kidnapped on March 21st 2021 about 400 days after he was released from his first kidnap.

He was released after ransom was paid twice after an initial demand of NGN150 million, sources close to the family said.

Ukpepi was kidnapped for the second time, 800 days after ace broadcaster, Petertex ‘Godfada’ Etim was kidnapped on January 11th 2019 on his way to work.

His wife told CrossRiverWatch when he had spent over 40 days in captivity that there was little help as compared to the first time he was abducted.
