UPDATED: #June12 – Jalingo, James, Jonathan And Undie Granted Bail

It has been confirmed that Citizen Agba Jalingo who publishes CrossRiverWatch, leading rights activists cum lawyer James Ibor, CrossRiverWatch News Editor Jonathan Ugbal and Comrade Akawajiode Undie has granted bail minutes ago.

They were arrested by masked Policemen during the peaceful #June12 protest which was ongoing right in front of the secretariat of Association of Cross River Online Journalists, ACROJ, which houses CrossRiverWatch and several other new media platforms in the State before the masked men came in over 7 Hilux van, fired teargas and picked the four in custody while others escaped.

Statement was from them while in custody for over two hours, confirming the bail, Barrister Attach Ochinke, Lead Counsel to CrossRiverWatch said, “I can confirm that the four Comrades have been granted bail and released from Puff Adder custody.
