Kidnappers may have developed a new strategy to abduct victims which now include gaining access to buildings via the roof of houses.
This was the case at 8 miles in Calabar on Wednesday morning when kidnappers broke into the residence of one Mr. Godwin Samuel and whisked him away.
Images obtained by CrossRiverWatch shows that the kidnappers tore the aluminum zinc, broke the ceiling and shoved Mr. Samuel outside through the hole created at about 2:00AM.
After a lull, kidnapping activities have picked up in Cross River with speculations that there is reduced funding for the joint task force, Operation Akpakwu commissioned by Governor Ben Ayade last year.
Local police authorities are yet to issue a statement on the incident.
