Ahead of planned peaceful protest, the Cross River State Police Command has invited leaders aggrieved interns of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) for dialogue.

The UCTH interns are currently preparing to exercise their fundamental rights to press home their demand to the management of the hospital who sacked them for “embarrassing the management“.

Since August 2 they were suspended for asking the hospital to settle its 11-month salary indebtedness to them which is over N480 Million.

Yesterday, Sunday, two of the interns were invited by the State DSS, after brief questioning they were released.
