Anthony Duke: Former Lawmaker, Broadcaster Kidnapped In Nassarawa

Anthony Duke, a former councilor representing Ward 5 in Calabar South Local Government Area and journalist has been kidnapped.

He served between 2010 and 2013.

Duke, who presented Hardline on FAD 93.1 FM Calabar on Mondays, Wednesday’s and Friday’s before the COVID-19 pandemic was abducted on Tuesday evening around Akwanga, Nassarawa State en route Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, sources quoted by The Parchment said.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer, Calabar Blue Marathon.

Mr. Duke was said to have left Calabar in a private vehicle and is suspected to have been abducted by bandits recently declared as terrorists by the Nigerian Government.

His abductors are yet to establish contacts with his family members as at press time.
