Jarigbe Agom, the Senator representing Cross River Northern District in the 9th National Assembly has postponed a town hall meeting with his constituents earlier billed for May 5, 2022.
Senator Agom in a message to CrossRiverWatch said this was due to pressing issues and the need to ensure that the essence of the town hall was achieved.
“The town hall meeting has been postponed. There is a whole lot going on right now and it will not achieve its intended purpose,” the message read.
He further disclosed that “it will be held at a later date which will be communicated,” even as he “regretted the inconveniences this will cause the constituents who were looking forward to it.”
The town hall meeting is expected to draw constituents from the five Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District for an interaction.
