Former lawmaker and Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC,  Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba has committed to assist the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ogoja Branch, completing its Bar Center abandoned building.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Sen. Victor disclosed this in an inspection visit to the project site located within the premises of the High Court complex in Ogoja Local Government Area, on Friday 8 July 2022.

According to ViNE Media, the Bar Center is said to have been conceived and commenced by Justice E. A. Ubua of the Cross River State Judiciary during his tenure as the Chairman of the NBA Ogoja Branch from 2011 to 2012, and since then, it became a residence for reptiles and rodents.

The project is named Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba, JCA Bar Center in memory of Senator Ndoma-Egba’s father. Late Justice E. T. Ndoma-Egba was the first indigenous lawyer to establish his practice in Ogoja in 1970, immediately after the Nigerian Civil War.

Owing to the difficulty of completing the project, the former Senate Leader promised that the Ndoma-Egba family will complete the project as his visit is to appraise the extent of work done.
