CrossRiverWatch’s Entertainment Correspondent, Clement Oto-Obong better known as Walata Worldwide brings to you exclusive pictures from the 2022 World Tourism Day and the unveiling of the 2022 Carnival Calabar held in Calabar.
This year’s celebration had the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism’ kicked off on the 25th of September and climaxed on the 28th at Transcorp Hotels, Calabar with the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in attendance.
Also, the Government of Cross River State seized the opportunity to unveil the 2022 Carnival Calabar with the theme: “2022 Agro-Industrialization” held at the Conference Hall of Governor’s Office Calabar by Governor Ben Ayade.
Amongst those who graced the unveiling include Deputy Governor Prof. Ivara Esu, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development Eric Anderson, Director-General, Nigerian Tourism Development Commission – Folorunsho Coker; Former Minister for Culture, Tourism and National Orientation- Chief Edem Duke, senior appointees, carnival band leaders, among others.
