Former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke has been named as the Chairman of the Cross River State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, and he will therefore head the party’s charge toward taking back the Peregrino House.
The decision was contained in a long list of campaign councils announced by the party in the state, where it fixed Friday, November 25th, 2022 as the date for the inauguration of the council.
The release signed by the state party chairman Barrister Venatius Ikem and seen by CrossRiverWatch reads in part: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Cross River State has approved the appointment of the following members into the State Campaign Council and various directorates of the Campaign organization.
“The State Chairman on behalf of the State Executive Committee invites all members of the various committees and chapter chairmen for the inauguration ceremony on Friday the 25th of November 2022 at the Venetian Mall, M/M Highway Calabar at 2 pm.
“Let me on behalf of the State Working Committee congratulate all members of the council for meriting the onerous task of reclaiming Cross River State from the abyss,” Vena said.
Senator Sandy Onor, the party’s governorship candidate is named as the vice-chairman of the council, while Efiok Cobham is the Director-general of the party’s state campaign organization.
Prof. Offiong Ani (Documentation and Reporting), Barr. Mba Ukweni (Legal Affairs) Dr. Walter Agbojor (Religious and Cultural Engagement), Chief Igbe Aruku(Protocol and Logistics), Asu Okang (Diaspora Affairs), Dr. Emmanuel Ogar (Medical) and Col. Pam Ogar(Elders Affairs). Others are directors of the various directorates announced by the party.
Directors of other directorates announced are Mike Usibe (Contact and Mobilization), Chief Mike Ibock (Strategy and Research), Mr. John George (Finance), and Ken Egbas (Media and Publicity).
Others include the Directorate of Field Operations, Chief Austin Edibe, Directorate of Support Groups, Ubana Nkami, Directorate of Election Management, Omani anguish, Directorate of Security, Bobby Ekpenyong, Directorate of Women Affairs, Florence Inyang, Directorate of Youth Mobilization, Emmanuel Oruand Director of Welfare, Lady Emana Ambrose Amawhe.
