Carnival Calabar 2022: Passion 4, Odukpani LGA, South Africa Emerge Winners

The Passion 4 carnival band has been declared the winner of the 2022 Carnival Calabar Band Competition while Odukpani Local Government Area and South Africa came top on the cultural and international parades.

Passion 4 band known for their green outfit and stunts pulled 1,762 points to come top for the eleventh time beating six other competing bands.

Seagull band came 2nd, Calas Vegas 3rd, Freedom 4th, Bayside 5th, Master Blasta 6th, and Diamond 7th position respectively.

Similarly, the Cultural Carnival Parade saw Odukpani Local Government Area emerge 1st while Calabar South and Ogoja LGAs came 2nd and 3rd.

In the same vein, South Africa clinched the International Carnival Parade, beating favourite countries – Brazil and Lithuania to 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
