The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the deployment of 24 bursars to 24 Federal Unity Colleges across the country.
The Punch Newspaper reports that the announcement came shortly after the deployment of some Directors in the ministry to unity colleges.
In a circular obtained from the ministry by our correspondent in Abuja, the ministry noted that the deployment is with immediate effect.
The circular, tagged FEM/ACCT/ADM/525/I, which was addressed to the Principals of the affected schools, was signed by the ministry’s Head of Human Resources, David Gende.
The circular partly read, “I am directed to convey approval for the redeployment of 24 bursars to the attached FUCs with immediate effect. The posting instructions can be downloaded at www.education.gov.ng, and hard copies can be submitted by officers for documentation.
“Director, Finance and Account and Principals are required to render returns on the level of compliance not later than Friday, January 16, 2023. Kindly note, that any disregard to these posting instructions shall be treated by the provisions of PR 030301(b).”
The Public Service Rule 030301(b) states that “refusal to proceed on transfer or to accept posting is a form of misconduct that is inimical to the image of the service and that can be investigated and proved. It can also lead to termination and retirement.”
