The Cross River State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade has announced plans to again flag off the construction of the Yahe-Wanihem-Benue Border road in Northern Cross River.
The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Prof. Ivara Esu had in 2017 flagged off the construction of the road, promising that “the 36km road project is a matter of necessity to ease the sufferings of the people as well as help to empower the communities and open it to the outside world.”
The Governor had also committed to at least 80 percent completion of the road before August 2018.
The road was never constructed.
But in a twist of event, the Governor is billed to again carry out the groundbreaking ceremony of the same road.
The announcement is contained in the campaign itinerary shared by Andrea Ekeng Inyang, an aide to the Governor on Strategic Communications.
The Governor is billed to carry out the activity on Thursday, January 26th, 2022.
