United Kingdom-based Cross Riverian, Iso Bassey has expressed optimism about the 2023 Nigeria general elections.
In an interview with journalists in Calabar Municipal LGA, his hometown while exercising his franchise during the Presidential and National Assembly elections, he said as a Nigerian, it is important for him to fly down wherever he is to play his part in electing leaders that will take the country to the desired eldorado.
Bassey is the founder of the ‘Cross River Movement’, a non-profit organization passionate about the betterment and narrative of Cross River.
He called all and sundry who are eligible to vote and in a position to make Nigeria great.
The Ejagham of Qua descendant in Calabar Municipal was selected as one of the speakers to speak at the 2022 Black History Month celebration at the United Kingdom’s House of Parliament in October 2022.
As Special Assistant on ICT to former Governor Liyel Imoke, he led several initiatives aimed at improving service delivery to citizens, chaired the local organizing committee for the Nigeria National Software Conference, and served on the planning committee for Calabar Festival.
