The Senator-elect of the Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom, has praised his closest rival in the polls, Governor Ben Ayade for his decision to stay on the path of honor and not disrupt the electoral process.

Jarigbe in the message signed by him to the people of Cross River North said his victory was “divine” and was given by God.

His words, “I cannot find words to express my appreciation to the good People of Cross River North Senatorial District. On behalf of my family and my Party, I thank the Elders of Cross River North, the Women, our vibrant Youth, and all those who stood by us and defended our Votes.

“The Victory is divine and we can only give God the glory. We thank the Clergy for their prayers and constant intercessions.

“I also appreciate our Principal, my opponent, H. E. Gov Ben Ayade, who had all the powers to compromise the electoral process but stayed on the path of honor. He lost out because it was not his time to have it and not because I am stronger.

There is time for everything. As Christians, we are taught that even Jesus Christ did everything, at the appointed time. He remains our Governor and our Leader. We will always respect him and join hands to move Cross River State forward.” He said.
