The Cross River State Government has commenced fixing of collapsed Abredang health facility after CrossRiverWatch’s investigation.
CrossRiverWatch had in February reported on the pathetic state of the health center in Abredang Community in Biase Local Government Area where child deliveries are done in the collapsed facility.
The investigation was supported by the Africa Data Hub Community Journalism Fellowship.
The State Government through the Primary Health Care Development Agency led by the Director-General, Deaconess Abasi-Offiong Offiong kept the promise she had made to fix the facility.
Mrs. Offiong, after days of assessment of the collapsed facility which affected the labor ward among others, mobilized materials and workers for swift fixing.
The DG said her passion coupled with her office as the State Primary Healthcare DG will leave no stone unturned to ensure Cross Riverians receive quality healthcare services in a conducive environment.
