DSS Release Finance Commissioner, Two Others Arrested During Election With Guns In Cross River State

The Department of State Services (DSS) has released Cross River sitting Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Goddy Ettah, Ukpan Odey and former Chairman of Yakurr Local Government Area identified as “Bomboy” who were allegedly arrested with guns and ammunition during Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in the State.

The trio were arrested, moved to Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, to Enugu and returned back to the DSS custody in Calabar where they were released yesterday.

Goddy was appointed the Commissioner for Finance by Governor Ben Ayade following the resignation of Asuquo Ekpenyong Jrn. who is now Senator-elect of the Southern senatorial district of the State.
