Queen Manyi Affangha, Face of Culture Africa 2022/2023 has marked her birthday with patients in the maternity unit of the Nigeria Police Hospital, Calabar, the State capital.

The Akamkpa daughter shared that she decided to mark her birthday with them as a way of putting a smile on their faces.

Items worth hundreds of thousands were donated and they include sanitary pads, pampas, and beverages.

She acknowledged that there is an erroneous perception of beauty pageants and Queens, but noted that to many, it is a way of giving back to society.

Queen Manyi advised that “pageantry is not prostitution and from the best of my knowledge beauty queens are more morally disciplined, no brand manager would want to have a representative that will misrepresent their brand and bring down their standard.”
