The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) has received a 50KW Solar Hybrid System from a delegation from the South-South geopolitical zone of Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
The delegation was led by Mrs. Catherine Ajubike who is a board member and a representative of the South-South geopolitical zone of REA.
The purpose of the visit was to officially hand over the 50KW Solar Hybrid System to the hospital under the COVID-19 intervention program among others.
The Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee in UCTH, Dr. Micheal Eyong, and other management staff received the delegation on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Ikpeme A. Ikpeme, and commended the team for their efforts and solicited further support to power other critical areas of the hospital.
The high point of the visit was the official signing of documents along with a tour of the project site.
