The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu is set to swear in the Commissioner designates.
This was contained in a memo signed by Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, dated August 15, 2023 with reference number GO/PRESS/012/VOL.II/229.
It reads in part “The Cross River State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, cordially invites the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Eyambem, State Chief Judge, Justice Akon Ikpeme, State Chairman, All Progressives Congress, Barr. Alphonsus Eba, Chairman, and Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council to the swearing-in ceremony of Commissioners designates.”
The event is tomorrow Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the temporary Governor’s Office, Dan Archibong Lodge, Calabar, by 10 am prompt.
Commissioner designates are to appear for the ceremony with their spouses only and are expected to be seated before 10 am, says the release.
The swearing-in ceremony is strictly by invitation.
