The Chief of Staff to the Cross River State Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, says the many contributions of Healthy Billionaires Fitness Club to Cross River State Sports and Healthcare development endeared him to be an automatic member of the club.
Ironbar stated this when he received the leadership of the club, led by its Chairman, Williams Archibong Jr. and his Walkathon 4.0 counterpart, Liyel Imoukhude in his office, assuring that his office will identify with what the club is doing.
The Chief of Staff said “I am aware of Healthy Billionaires Fitness Club before now, and I saw you very visible during our Sports stakeholders meeting at the table tennis club of the U J Esuene Sports Stadium during our campaign. Your records in the last three editions of Walkathon have shown a passing mark and I will be part of this fourth edition.”
Assuring them of the possibility of working with them to grow the sector he said “His Excellency the Senator Bassey Otu is a sport loving Governor and I hope some of you will be part of those who will drive the sector in no distant time.
“Going forward, we have a lot to achieve together as citizens of Cross River State, and I would like you to show your expertise in different sectors and use the government as a platform to drive it in the overall interest of our dear state,” he said.
The Chairman of Walkathon 4.0 Committee, Liyel Imoukhude, joined by the Healthy Billionaires Fitness Club, Williams Archibong Jr. said the essence of the visit was to intimate the Chief of Staff about the second largest carnival-like event in Cross River State tagged “Walkathon”.
They told the Chief of Staff that the 2023 edition with the theme, “Drug abuse and mental health” has attracted participants not only from Cross River State but across Nigeria, especially from other regions of the country.
Other members of visiting team were the Director of Finance, Ubong Ottong, Head of Marketing, Francis Ekpo, the Head of Media and Publicity, Rasheed Olanrewaju, the Head of Schedule and Branding, Samuel Usoro, the Head of Security and Protocol, Great Ogbang, as well as a member of the committee, Victor Effiong.
