#CRSDecides (VIDEO): Emil Inyang Wins Akamkpa/Biase Rerun Election

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Akamkpa/ Biase Federal Constituency, Honorable Emil Inyang has emerged winners of the court rerun elections in the constituency.

Inyang pulled a total of 15,930 votes to defeat his closest contender Igwe Augustin Aidam of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 12, 417 votes to come second.

The Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 polls were held across some affected polling units in the constituency, and the result collated and announced late hours of Saturday as most polling units were in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Announcing the results,  the returning officer, Joshua Umoh, declared, “That, I am the returning officer for the 2024 Akamkpa Biase Federal Constituency rerun election held February 3rd, 2024. The election was contested. The candidates received the following votes;

Aidam Augustine….. AA: 37

Adem Adem….. ADC:  255

Inyang Emil -APC: 15, 930

John Dennis….APM: 101

Esu Ejemot William….. LP: 6, 410

Emmanuel Inyang…..NNPP: 165

Igwe Augustin Aidam…..PDP: 12, 417

PRP:  58

SDP:  19

YPP:  51

He proceeded: “That Inyang Emile of APC has certified the requirement of the law is hereby declared the winner as returned elected.”
